Description
This canvas started with a textured finish, so you may see the folds in the brush strokes, especially around the outside edges of the spiral. I was thinking about the energy that creates life when I started this work. The elements of earth, air, fire and water spiral into a center vortex that became a blue rose. After painting it, I imagined the petals of the rose actually embracing the center, like a community of consciousness, holding each other and being held.
