Artist's Description
This nautilus started as flaming flower underpainting, and the spiral pattern of the petals inspired the curves that became the nautilus shell. The ocean waves followed soon after. I feel this curling vortex of creation could be inside my creative mind, or in the cells of my body, regenerating and energizing them.
